Baked Beans are an ideal source of protein, very low in fat, a good source of Fibre and Iron and they are Cholesterol free (although they are said to be pretty high in Sugar), amongst other things and it is said they are actually one of the most useful of foodstuffs available. It has also been suggested that they are actually Britain’s best-loved food and I agree, I just could not imagine surviving without the good old Baked Beans, OK, that’s going a bit far, but I really do love them.
Things to do with Baked Beans, Beans on Toast, with some grated Cheddar Cheese and a Fried Egg and it is absolutely delicious.

I am no stranger to the taunts of bean snobbery. And -hear this - I am no bean snob but rather a connoisseur of the bean and I consider Heinz to be the only baked bean producer of note.

Heinz Baked Beans are as British as Big Ben, double decker buses and fish and chips. They are also a great treat when you are a British expat craving a can of beans abroad!
