The Poppy Appeal.
On behalf of the Royal British Legion,
I would like to thank you for your participation in the 2011 Poppy Appeal. Because of the generosity of businesses and social gathering places like yours, the appeal was an outstanding success not only financially but also culturally. It allowed the British and Commonwealth communities here in the United States a chance to wear the red Flanders’s Remembrance Day poppy.
This is truly a memorable tradition, enabling us to express our feelings and show respect for our fallen and disabled war Veterans. This money is used to help assist British Veterans and their families.
